The Brief

In response to Facebook blogging about how people were upset that Fruju had delisted one of their flavours, Grapefruit and Lemon Tip Top decided to bring back the flavour for a limited time only over Summer. Fruju wanted to reward the  loyalists from Facebook.

Proximity Pulse’s promotional staff hand delivered Grapefruit and Lemon Fruju’s to the top 200 loyalists houses or workplaces.  We had to take in to consideration the fact that we were working with frozen goods so used branded polystyrene boxes which were filled with dry ice, 6 x ice blocks and sealed.
The deliveries were focused in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch and vouchers were sent to people outside of the 3 main cities.

  • The feedback from the consumers upon delivery of the Fruju’s was 100% positive.
  • People were all very excited, a lot of people were expecting a ‘surprise’ from Fruju but when they were delivered actual product they were over the moon.
  • Everyone the team delivered Fruju’s too was very appreciative that ‘liking’ something on Facebook could lead to them receiving something for free in the real world, especially when it was a product that had been removed from the market.
  • Although everyone was very excited there were many people who mentioned they wished that Fruju Grapefruit and Lemon would be back for good not a limited time.
