Educate New Zealanders about the various benefits of using energy efficient lighting in their homes.


Our teams targeted shoppers who were close to point of purchase for light bulbs, within malls around the country. Trained Brand Ambassadors approached shoppers to educate them about the benefits of using the bulbs and encouraged them to enter a competition to win up to $2,000 worth of shopping vouchers.

Activity took place at AMP, KIPT & Westfield malls, along with selected Countdown, New World & Pak N Save supermarkets along with Mitre 10 Mega & Bunning’s Warehouse stores.


  • More than 30,000 people were personally engaged
  • Activation in 11 malls, 32 supermarkets & 13 DIY stores nationwide
  • A total of 29,355 “Make the Switch” entry forms were distributed
  • 41% of these (12,125) were completed and returned
